A vibrant electropop opera about love, longing, and the search for meaning.
“And this comet burned so bright.”
Adapted from a section of Tolstoy’s War and Peace, Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 follows a young woman navigating love, temptation, and heartbreak in imperial Russia. While her fiancé is away at war, the naïve and hopeful Natasha becomes entangled in a reckless romance with the charming Anatole. As scandal and betrayal unfold within Moscow’s glittering aristocratic society, the disillusioned Pierre finds himself searching for purpose and redemption. Blending Russian folk, classical, and contemporary pop influences, the musical creates an immersive theatrical world that explores youth, morality, and the possibility of renewal.
