Return: The Promise of the Day follows Seung Ho, a Korean War veteran who dedicates his life to searching for the remains of the comrades he lost in battle. Moving between past and present, the story reveals the lives of young friends whose futures were forever changed by war, and the promise Seung Ho made to return them to their families. Decades later, a new generation joins the mission as part of the Republic of Korea Army’s ongoing effort to recover soldiers lost during the war. Through memory, sacrifice, and enduring friendship, the musical honours those who were never able to return home.
